Rupert & I visited the site a few of weeks ago & I took these pictures.
There are separate washing facilities for men & women, a shop, a café & washing machines. There is also a freezer free for all to refreeze ice blocks.
The site is next to a nature reserve & crabbing is within walking distance.
There is a cycle route all the way into nearby Lymington & a cycle path to Key Haven.
It will be great to cycle new routes.
Something that we used to do as a large group was a day out on the Isle of Wight – groups of 10 can travel together on the Lymington ferry at a discounted rate so expect to see a ride on the board.
As we move to this site it is appropriate to think about bike security both on & off the site – this camping field is near a public road & a public footpath/cycle way so bike locks would be a good idea on site & are essential out on rides.

Thanks for the doing the recce and the subsequent newsletter Anna which gives us lots of useful information. I’m really looking forward to the new venue which is nice and close to some of my favourite places i.e. Lymington, Keyhaven, Milford on Sea and Brockenhurst. It’s also just a short walk away from the Solent Way cycle path with amazing views and so close to the Isle of Wight where I’ll definitely be going to on the ferry.
