New Forest Cycling Week 2026: Friday 24 July to Saturday 1 August
The New Forest Cycling Rally is almost here, and we’re looking forward to another week of fun, friendship, and shared forest adventures.
Whether you’re joining us for the whole week or just a few days, we hope you’ll make the most of everything the rally has to offer and help create the friendly atmosphere that makes this such a special event.
Registration and Rally Subscription
To help us plan for the week and meet Cycling UK requirements, please complete the rally attendance form Rally Registration Form
When making your booking and checking in, directly with Hurstview Leisure, please let the campsite know that you are attending the Cycling Rally. This helps with planning and ensures reception staff can direct you to the rally field when you arrive.
The rally is supported by a small subscription of £1 per adult per night. This helps cover shared costs and keeps rally funds healthy, including contributions towards activities such as the barn dance and children’s prizes.
Activities and Events
A range of rally favourites are planned during the week, including:
- Barn Dance (Sunday)
- AGM (Monday)
- Quiz Night
- Children’s Scavenger Hunt
- Bicycle Limbo
- Children’s Time Trials
- Friday night BBQ
Times and details will be confirmed during the week, so please keep an eye on the noticeboard in the information tent and WhatsApp announcements.
Electric Hook-ups and Charging
Electric hook-ups on the rally field are limited and costly, so they are not easily available for individual pitches on the rally field. However, the rally provides a shared electric hook-up point for everyone to use. This can be used for charging phones, batteries, and other small items, as well as occasional use of kettles and similar appliances.
Ice Packs and Food Storage
Reception provides a free and efficient ice-pack freezing service, which many campers find invaluable for keeping food fresh throughout the week.
Finding the Rally
The rally is based at Hurst View Campsite, which has proved to be an excellent venue with great facilities, a warm welcome, and a relaxed atmosphere that suits the spirit of the week perfectly. There is a cafe and a small shop on site.
Making the Most of the Week
The rally works best when it stays simple, flexible, and participant-led. Rides and activities are organised informally by volunteers, and everyone is encouraged to join in, contribute where they can, and take part at their own pace.
The week succeeds because of the willingness of rally-goers to help one another, share ideas, organise rides, lend a hand when needed, and above all enjoy good company together. For more detailed guidance and background, see Morgan’s Top Tips here (but bear in mind these were written when we were still based at our previous campsite,Avon Tyrrell).
Safe travels, and we look forward to seeing you soon.
