The easiest access by road is to leave the A31 at the Picket Post junction, thence to Burley and take the Bransgore Road, turning right at cross roads near Thorney Hill where it is signposted to Avon Tyrrell.
The closest railway station is Hinton Admiral, on the Southampton to Bournemouth line. Full details are given on the Rail Enquiries website.
Avon Tyrrell has been chosen on account of its facilities and activities along with the safety and security for families and children. The Avon Tyrrell website has details of the venue, including their Lodges and the extensive range of activities they have on offer.
We normally request all camping areas south of the main building for the rally, this includes East Lake, West Lake and the Sports Field. These areas will be available for any type of camping i.e. lightweight, frame tents, camper vans and caravans etc. A small area of the site will be reserved for lightweight camping only. Please see this Site Plan for a map of the venue.
All pitches have easy access to drinking water, recycling and rubbish points, two fully equipped amenity blocks with hot water and all day showers, a washing up area, a public laundry room. The rally site also has 20 electric hook up points near the lakeside.
