I hope you are all well the weather has definitely got colder here and the New Forest week seems a long way away now
I can confirm that nobody contacted me to help with COVID track and trace so I have disposed of the contact forms taken for that reason
The minutes of the AGM are attached and will be added to the website
It was lovely to see those who were able to join the rally this year and although many familiar faces were much missed everybody made the most of it – the usual ride destinations were enjoyed, thank you ride leaders, and we were (mainly) lucky with the weather with just a couple of early wet days.
Although we couldn’t hold the Barn Dance Mark Collins provided a bicycle themed quiz which was enjoyed by all – well done team Sharon the things you know amaze me J
The destination picnic ride was lovely and will be a permanent feature while David taking part in the bike limbo was unforgettable to say the least – another thank you to Mark, Richard, Sharon and time trials team, Carrie and Dan and Jan who put on the extras as its really appreciated by us all
In a year where organised cycling has really struggled your Committee was recognised by Cycling UK for a Lockdown Love Award – ultimately they decided to declare all those nominated joint winners which was very fair – as my thanks above shows the Rally being so positively acknowledged is as a result of many peoples contributions including all of you who come and represent Cycling UK to non cyclists in the New Forest each year so thanks to you too
Finally next years dates
We have booked Avon Tyrell for Fri 23 July to Sat 31st Jul next year I know some of you need to preference that for employers, now me included, so – looking forward to seeing you next year ..
